Another week dawned at Ruskin Sports Village PSD Arena for us hardy warriors yesterday and what dramas could we create this week?
Just a couple as it turned out. Pitches were set; warm up done, 5 teams of 6 and one of 5 went into battle.
The team of 5 was very strong indeed and soon 3 nil up not only due to me playing and refereeing! I got through on goal and put it away and then
I DISALLOWED MY OWN GOAL FOR RUNNING!
How honest!
I must surely go to heaven, not for quite a while yet though!
Liz picked up a nasty wrist injury when saving Dave’s (Triallist or Amazon is unclear) first shot on target for 3 years! She was obviously in a lot of pain and Wickie miraculously produced a bandage from somewhere It turned out it was strapping from around his groin area, complete with Firy Jack, and strapped her wrist up in fine fashion.
Apparently he had alot of wrist injuries when he was younger partaking in a hobby of his. Cant imagine what that was? Anyway Liz continued on playing only to be rewarded with a 4 hour wait in the Walk-In Centre later on!
Speedy recovery wishes from all of us Liz, even though you are only briefly with us on a Visitors Visa! Cockney Rebel made an early exit with cramps in his legs. I suspected he was making an early dash for cake in the Slipper Salon but when we got there there was no cake only him!
A slight disappointment but it was nice to see him recovered! Don’t forget No games next week, it’s the last Bank Holiday before Christmas!
