Snorkels ready!
Hi O'Hooligan here.
Another eventful week for our intrepid members dawned on Monday morning when we were met with workers repairing parts of the pitch at Ruskin Arena!
No problem we said We can put cones around the damaged areas and play on! So off we went but it soon became apparent that nowhere was safe! Instead of people invading the pitch wanting selfies we had a mad man with an angle grinder chopping bits of the pitch up before we had Chopper rampaging about the pitch chopping bits off peoples legs! Nowhere was safe!
We had a couple of chaps needing to leave the field of play. First El Presidente had a dizzy spell so sat out for a while and then Little John pulled a calf muscle so had to go in goal. To be fair to myself I saw John struggling so I whizzed past him and scored and then helped him into his position in goal!
So thoughtful and sporting as ever!
And onto Wednesday at Sutton Soccer Dome or was it swimming pool? Shocking conditions outside meant that the session was cancelled so we had a Round Robin Six a Side inside. Not my cup of tea but it got the old heart going for a spell!
Heres hoping for better weather next week when we all try again.
