Smaller goals!
Hi O'Hooligan here.
Following on from my request for taller Referees (see Monday’s Green Room ramble) the Executive Committee took my suggestion on board and provided a much taller chap for our Wednesday session at Sutton Soccer Dome.
Thank you we think!
But, and there is always a but, we were met with the sight of Subutteo-sized goals on the pitch which had either shrank in the torrential rain or were possibly replacements for the shabby ones we have had to endure for ages!
It was finally established that these were indeed replacements and that in turn caused a massive rethink and adjustments in aiming and shooting (will you be serious Editor)!
Now for an average person the bar is just over chest high, but Little John was swinging on it like a scene from Kez! "Nothing wrong with them" he said as he produced his chimpanzee impression!
So we just dealt with it and had a great game and all got very wet again!
New boy Peter enjoyed himself and has promised to be back, good player and nice guy, Welcome!
