Tradesmen

Target Practice. 🎯🎯🎯

Hi O'Hooligan here.

Hello to all!

Sorry for my absence as I have been decorating the Green Room and all has not gone to plan! I have been let down by an electrician, plumber and a flooring contactor! Plus I took my O'Hooligan mobile to a car dealerships named ------house for its MOT and service. "Please return at 1700 for your car sir" was the instruction given so up I rolled at 1701 (you have to give them a little leeway) only to be informed that the MOT went fine but they had forgotten to do the service!! Not pleased so I refused to leave until they had done the service! " See you next year" I think not!

So my faith in tradesmen had diminished a fair bit However my own skills have increased tenfold so if anyone needs any jobs doing dont ask me!!!

Anyway to Yesterday’s Ruskin session. A little shower met us as we were setting up the pitches up in a bid to beat the clock We were all ready to go on the hour and subsequently got a full hour of playing in, which is great and surely what we all want.

Monday Michelle was wearing a great big target on her back and front and was constantly hit with piledrivers and tackles from behind but she bravely kept going

I imagine she is a little sore this morning! Nice to see Liz back accompanied by an interpreter as she doesn't speak much English these days and is only in the country on a visitors visa! She had the cheek to claim a goal at one stage as she had hit a forward pass which struck at least 3 players before trickling between the keeper’s legs and just about reached the net! These foreigners! She is off to Scotland next taking Haggis with her to help with the local language, good luck with that!

All the games went well but Jim Murphy did take a bit of a knock, unintentional of course, hope he is well today. A bit sore I imagine, ice and time mate! And after the games we had cake! Come on Eileen brought a nice sponge variety while Lord Rainford instructed his staff to clear his cupboards and joyfully brought his Christmas left-over Chocolate Brownies! And very nice they were too!

But the drama does not end there Dear Reader! The fire alarm went off and Tom Stretch leapt to his feet and gathered all the cakes and dashed outside with them! Never mind women and children first, save the cakes! The rest of us were too tired to move and asked the ever helpful Ruskin Staff to call our nurses and carers to come and collect us! It was a false alarm anyway but the cakes never came back!!

More good news is that Wickie didn't leave his phone this week cos he now has it on a chain around his neck!

Cheers for now! 😇🇮🇪
