Roped off.
Hi O'Hooligan here!
Was it Confucious or maybe someone in the Church Tavern who said "with age comes great wisdom"?
Well if either of them could explain to me why, at the sprightly age of 70, 3 weeks after tearing my quad, I would take to the pitch with the words "take it easy, take it easy, take it easy" going around my head I'd risk anything Imagine, Joe the Ghost rolls a perfect pass in front of me ( which is I know it is hard to believe but stay with me) and I think "head down, stroke through the ball" and then CLUNK the ball flies high and wide Only for my quad to go again?
I spend the next 40 minutes working on my next medical recovery plan
I'm not the first and certainly won't be the last to fall to injury so quickly but hey ho!
I confess I'm getting worried about the Committee's discipline plans as I witnessed Lord Rainford taking various lengths of rope from his bag yesterday!
One rope was coloured blue, could this the next step after a blue card?
A flogging on the touchline with the blue rope before offenders are strung up and pelted with little black rubber pellets for the remainder of the session? Could be one deterrent
John did mention that our application for tasers for miscreant members during games had been rejected by the Committee as being too nice and that more draconian measures might have to be introduced! At least you have been warned!
Cheers for now!
Remember I only report what isn't true! (Apart from my injury of course, sicknote on the way El Presidente). 😇🇮🇪
